H2Ocean Presents Oral Care Research at the 4th International Conference on Cancer Health Disparities (ICCHD)

H2Ocean participated in the 4th International Conference on Cancer Health Disparities (ICCHD) & 9th Annual UTRGV School of Medicine Research Symposium, held in South Padre Island, Texas, February 28–March 1, 2026. The conference brought together clinicians, cancer researchers, and public health experts to discuss advances in cancer prevention, treatment, and survivorship care.

The conference opened with remarks from Dr. Subhash Chauhan, Professor and Chair of the Department of Immunology and Microbiology and Director of the South Texas Center of Excellence in Cancer Research, and Dr. Ecerado Cobos, Professor of Medicine and Director of the Cancer Program at UTRGV School of Medicine. Their remarks highlighted the importance of collaborative research and translational science in addressing cancer disparities and improving patient outcomes.

Dr. Rajiv Saini, Chief Scientific Officer of H2Ocean, delivered an invited lecture addressing oral complications (Chemo Mouth) associated with chemotherapy and radiation therapy, including mucositis, inflammation, epithelial injury, and microbial imbalance. The presentation emphasized the importance of preventive oral care during cancer treatment and discussed the potential role of Red Sea salt derived minerals in supporting oral tissue health and healing.

H2Ocean also participated in the conference with an educational booth presenting its sea salt based oral care products designed to help support oral hygiene and comfort during cancer therapy. Healing Rinse Mouthwash samples were distributed to healthcare professionals and cancer researchers to facilitate educational discussions and evaluation of supportive care approaches.

Eddie Kolos, Inventor and CEO of H2Ocean, was also present at the conference and engaged with researchers, clinicians, and academic leaders throughout the event. These interactions provided opportunities to discuss innovation in supportive care and explore potential research collaborations.

The symposium also featured an extensive research poster session, where faculty members, medical trainees, and research investigators presented the latest studies in cancer biology, prevention strategies, and survivorship research.
